Collecting personal information is necessary for us to provide our products and services to our customers.

  • alert people who may be interested in our products, special offers, promotions and special events

  • process orders and purchases either made online, at the cellar door or at events

  • deliver orders to our customers

  • respond to customer enquiries; and improve customer experience through direct feedback.

  • improve our website, payment services and customer relations using tracking technologies (See 6. below)

The personal information that we collect is mostly limited to the information that you provide to us directly either online, at the cellar door or at events but as stated is also reported to us through use of cookies and tracking technology. This is only shared with members of our organisation and is purely used to report on KPI’s and improve our website.

The type of information we collect may vary depending on how you choose to interact with us, but will generally include:

  1. Identification information such as your name, birthdate and organisation.

  2. Contact information such as your mailing address, phone number and email address.

  3. Financial information such as your bank account number, credit card number and other information you provide to us for payments.

  4. Transaction information a description of the transaction, and the payment amount.

  5. Usage information such as how you enter data using our sites and services and how long it takes.

  6. Connection information, such as the type of device you use to access our services, operating system and version, device identifiers, network information, IP address and location derived from your IP address. To collect this data, we may use cookies and other tracking technologies.

Sharing Of Personal Information

We do not and will not ever share your personal information. We will use or disclose information about our customers in ways they would reasonably expect. This means sharing information to process and deliver your order or to improve our website and offers. We do not partner with or have special relationships with any ad server companies or third parties and therefore do not pass on your particulars to any ad server companies or to third parties.

If you choose to interact with us via Facebook, Instagram or any other form of social media, please also take note of the privacy policies of those companies.

Newsletter Opt-Out

If you have chosen to opt into our newsletter or marketing emails and decide to opt out, we have a simple unsubscribe button at the end of all emails which will remove you from the list.

Also, under the member area on the website, you will find a simple form to unsubscribe. Wine club members see below for cancelling your membership.

Wine club members

Wine club members must contact us directly to cancel or alter their membership. Multiple secure/ password protected programs are used to store data for our wine club members. Please verify whether you would like to stay informed about LS Merchants on their regular mailing list or if you’d prefer to be deleted entirely.

If you have any questions about your privacy or want/need to update your information or subscription, please send us an email. DO NOT send your credit card or bank account number in an email.

Protecting Your Information

We take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Your information is stored securely, whether in an electronic or physical form meaning in a secured premises or in electronic databases requiring two-factor authentication logins and passwords.

LS Merchants will never ask for your credit card or bank account number via email, if you choose to send that information in an email you do so at your own risk. We will always make a time to call or ask that you add your information to a secure program link we may send via email. LS Merchants take no responsibility for any information lost or stolen.
