2022 #470 Syrah

2022 #470 Syrah
$65.00
The #470 clone originates from Garonne in France and is grown locally in WA, down in Frankland River.
Fermented in open top bins, hand plunged and pressed directly to a 600L Demi Muid (large barrel)
Concentrated and dark fruited with plum, black olive and a touch of saline minerality. This wine is a serious banger, to drink now and over the next 10 years, it has some serious weight and depth.
We suggest purchasing a Waldron to compare to the 470. The Waldron is perhaps more typical Shiraz whereas the 470 is pushing the boundary. Both are 100% shiraz from the same vineyard in Frankland River (grown right beside each other) and made in a very similar way.
An interesting talking point if you can taste them side by side with a fellow shiraz lover.
