2023 Chardonnay
2023. A teeny bit different this year. We have added a little bit of the mystery chardonnay clone we grow oursleves at Treeton Estate (the cellar door site) as well as the usual organically grown Clone 95 and Gingin from Churchview Estate. Racked to new and old oak with plenty of lees stirring to add texture.
We have nailed it. (We think!)
Lime brulee, white nectarines, jasmine flower, flinty with a touch of reduction complimented by sexy oak. It’s rich and mouth filling with creamy texture and a lime acidity. A wine to decant and drink now with full bodied food or lay in the cellar for the next 5 to 8 years.
