2023 Sangiovese

A light, bright take on this Italian classic.

Lifted aromatics of sour cherry, blood orange and dried herbs. Pretty classic for Sangiovese, the palate is bright and lively, plum and cherry with a crunchy acidity and slightly chewy tannins. Made to be enjoyed with food. It's the perfect pizza, pasta, charcuterie wine but it also wouldn’t be lost next to the BBQ over the festive season. We recommended chilling this wine over summer to enhance the aromatics and freshness.

Sangiovese from Italy will be called Chianti and classically comes with a few mates; a little bit of Malvasia and Trebbiano or perhaps Colorino and Canaiolo Nero. We don’t have those varietals in WA so we took the new world twist and added a touch of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache.
